James Webb Space Telescope's mirrors are covered in a microscopically thin layer of gold, which optimizes them for reflecting infrared light, which is the primary wavelength of light this telescope will observe.

Very interesting (and diverse) items today, Tabatha.
The molten gold photo was mesmerizing...the bit about the microscopic layer of gold on the telescope mirrors was fascinating, and the Egyptian ring made me wonder if that was a chariot in front of the horses and, if so, what was the significance of it facing the horses.
I LOVE the poem by Sara Teasdale. I read the complete poem from the link. Then read it again and again. So full of imagery. I create images with paint, and she creates images with words. Simply beautiful! What a talent.
It took me forever to read your post today because I read a poem, then I read it again. Then I let it sit inside me for a bit before going on to the next one. They are all profound, but the Adam and Eve made my heart ache.
