A Twitter hashtag from this week -- #PoemYourCity -- resulted in a bunch of wee poems about hometowns. Here are a sampling (I was prone to noticing ones that mentioned writers):

Such fun to read each one's words, Tabatha. I love the one without a Trader Joe's. There was such celebration here when ours moved in!

Haha, nice poems. Sometimes I get bored of my city - perhaps writing a poem is a way to think about it in a different way.
For 10 whole months
It rains each day
And I am not sure why I stay,
But when the sun
Shines on the sea
This is the only place to be!

I love this idea to #poemyourcity! This could also work for a school as in #poemyourschool! It's almost the end of the year, and I'm already excited for next year. Thank you.
