Denim Art by Ian Berry

I have often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity - all I hope for in my clothes.
~Yves Saint-Laurent

Ian Berry uses denim as his medium. Plain old jeans. Aren't they amazing?? Thank you, Ian, for giving me permission to show these!

I guess you could say this is Ian Berry's Blue Period. :-)

Fascinating work through a fascinating medium.

Aside: a friend of mine long ago would sell computers to individuals in the Soviet Union (legally, I might add). Anyway, he would use blue jeans from second-hand shops to cushion the computers in the packages. It turned out to be a great sales gimmick and he had more orders than he could handle.
