Eivør grew up in Syðrugøta, a tiny village at the top of the [Faroe] island chain, facing the North Atlantic. With a population of around 400, community gatherings were a key part of her early life. People would often get together to share stories and play traditional folk music.

The "rarest" theorbo, huh? Makes me wonder what a common theorbo looks like! One fantastic instrument. And I wonder what it would sound like if the top four strings were played too?
Eivør's performance was amazing, as well. Wonderful voice and drum playing; it reminded me of American Indian chants. And the geographic scenes were great.
