Science fiction writer Philip K. Dick referred to Dowland in many of his works, including the novel Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said (1974), even using the pseudonym "Jack Dowland" once.

Renaissance music at its best. Amazing that this song has lasted over 400 years!
Of the versions here (all of which I enjoyed), I'd have to say the Faraji Faraji version was my favorite.
