Durga Dokra style. Dokra style is brass worked by the lost wax method of metal casting, pioneered by Adibasi metalsmiths of central India, but this Durga is actually made of clay.

The process shown in that video was something to behold. Very complicated and it looked it a *lot* could go wrong.
Definitely made me appreciate what the metalsmiths did centuries ago.
I'll never look at that Michael Jordan sculpture (or the sculptures at any ballpark) the same way again!
My words could be exactly as the above commenter! I had no idea that the process was so involved. Watching the use of so many tools makes me wonder how artisans managed so many years ago, Tabatha. Thanks for the sculpture education!
