Tree of Life

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next best time is now.
~Chinese Proverb

Today for Art Thursday, we have the Tree of Life, a common element in many religions and philosophies, embodying the idea that all life is connected.

These are wonderful depictions of the Tree of Life. Especially love the Italian massive sculpture...beautiful as well as symbolic.

Great Chinese proverb too. :-)

Fascinating, Tabatha. My husband and I watch "The Curse of Oak Island" on the History Channel. The Tree of Life is an image that keeps coming up as the treasure hunters research Medieval connections to Nova Scotia. It was also a kabbalistic image, apparently known to the Knights Templar.
