A little prickly

He lies like a hedgehog rolled up the wrong way, Tormenting himself with his prickles.
~Thomas Hood

I'll bet you didn't know that what you needed today was hedgehogs... (Does anybody know the story behind the powder flask? Just wondering about standing on a hedgehog!)

Nope, didn't think I'd see hedgehogs as the theme for your Art Thursday, but it is a great theme. :-)

And, as far as I can tell, the hedgehog is a symbol of protection, among other things. That's a wonderful carving, btw.

I adore hedgehogs! Fell in love with them after seeing the artwork of Beatrix Potter, and read about the country retreat she created that was home to several hedgehogs. Another enjoyable post!
