Were you sad when The Civil Wars broke up? I'm happy to report that John Paul White has a new album! He's also touring!

Definitely good to hear John Paul White singing again...great voice. But, wow, what an autobiographical song, just oozing with sadness.
And I can see why Joy Williams would recommend the Birdtalker song...her "comment" on the break-up, too.
Did not get the feeling, though, that neither John Paul nor Joy have actually left what's heavy behind this second time around.
Really like the Birdtalker one. Reminds me of a quote by Toni Morrison: "If you want to fly, you have to give up the things that weigh you down." xo
