The Guardian's Lisa Allardice asks an interesting question -- if literary time travel was a possibility, what writers would you go see?
Read the column and the responses here.
My first thoughts were to visit Mary Shelley and Edgar Allan Poe...must be leaning toward a little suspense today. Then Mark Twain came to mind. J.R.R. Tolkien. Beatrix Potter. The possibilities!
I think visiting Mark Twain would be at the top of my list.
ReplyDeleteI also think I'd like to be at the Algonquin Round Table when Dorothy Parker was there.
And last, but not least, I wouldn't mind a palaver with Arthur Conan Doyle.
Oh I'd visit Edward Gorey for sure, and Norman Lindsay, and Christopher Morley! :) .... among others.
