All those gold leaves
by Anis Mojgani

My piano coat unbuttoned
and all my pianos fell into the leaves.
I was picking up pianos for hours
when you walked past

  1. Muzzle! What a deep new resource, dear Tabatha.
Appreciations for leading me to it. I especially enjoyed looking at the mini-bios of all the brainy young readers for this poetry publication. And of course thanks for the bridge to this clever poet, new-to-me. So much to learn, so much to explore!

  5. Wow! I am grateful for this introduction to Anis Mojgani. Come Closer is stunning. I'm thinking of putting this line up on my wall. "What beautiful battlefields you are."

  7. Thanks, Tabatha, for sharing this. I love the image of pianos falling into fall leaves! While these poems don't really resonate with me, I always enjoy being introduced to new ideas, art, and artists here.

  11. "Come Closer" is wonderful, filled with so many wonderful lines and images. I, too, was struck by the line, "What beautiful battlefields you are," and it brought me back to recent reflections on viewing oneself as a victim or as a contender. Thanks for sharing Anis Mojgani's work today, Tabatha.
