Do you like poetry?

Next, something I made with watercolors and pen. I had a really hard time scanning it, but here goes:

    What a joyful, engaging video of the children proclaiming their poetry appreciation. Thank you for Langston Hughes' opening quotes, as well as the animated recitation of his poem. The gift in both of those Hughes’ experiences for me is that I can think of him in terms other than “Harlem” (aka "Dream Deferred") which I studied with twenty-two classes of h.s. equivalency students. Most especially, thank you for sharing your beautiful watercolor...”the lift of the latch”…Thank you for empowering, post after post, so that we can lift the variety of latches that keep us imprisoned; you are the lift that enables us to envision and take hold of ourselves as the lifts.     Disney does make us smile, a lot. Thanks for that, Tabatha, and for your gorgeous watercolor and love poem. The images are so lovely (pictures and words). And "the life of the latch" somehow touches me most, that thought of "opening" oneself to another.
