Chandeliers this Art Thursday (or "lustres" as they are known in French). Striking, aren't they? I think it's challenging to get a good shot of one, especially lit.

    Beautiful works of art. (And I thought that "chandelier" WAS the French name for them! But I actually like "lustre" better!)

    The Souq of Mutrah in Oman is very cool.

    I sometimes think of the individuals who had to light these things when candle light was all they had. :-)

    And At the Ball is stunning... it fairly sparkles with light and movement. The crystals and light of the chandelier are reflecting off of her dress brilliantly. Oh, to paint like that...

    They are so gorgeous, Tabatha. Along with the cleaning and the lighting, I wonder how many artisans in the world actually know how to create one of these anymore? Thanks for giving me something new to admire.
