Feathered Monsters and the Round-Up

...Your story is part of your sister's story, is part of many other stories, and there is no telling where any of them may lead.
~Erin Morgenstern

Poetry Monster stopped by today -- he didn't want to miss the round-up. He is crazy about Emily Dickinson, as you can see.

  2. Thanks for hosting Tabatha and Poetry Monster! Would it be mean to say I'd like to stuff Poetry Monster and sleep with him? I think he might help me to dream of flying. Or if not mean, maybe just a little weird... I dunno.

On Today's Litty Ditty, Buffy Silverman has today's post about writing nonfiction poetry. http://michellehbarnes.blogspot.com/2014/07/buffy-silverman-giving-nature-its-say.html

  3. Tabatha! Thank you so much for hosting this week. :) Love the Feathered Poetry Monster, can I take him home with me?

And because the world needs a lot of "Peaceful Pieces," my Poetry Friday offering at GatheringBooks today is Anna Grossnickle's Poems and Quilts about Peace. Absolutely stunning artwork and equally heartfelt poetry.

  20. Super Moon gazing on July 12th led me to follow-up work on how people around the globe viewed the phenomenon. I created a found poem from words lifted from news articles and quotes about the Super Moon night sky event. My goal was to create a poem that would speak to the experience of moon gazing on a dark summer night from a reflective stance. My submission for Poetry Friday, Reflecting on the Super Moon Phenomenon, can be found at http://beyondliteracylink.blogspot.com/2014/07/reflecting-on-super-moon-phenomenon.html
