Foyle Young Poets Award


The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award is open to 11-17-year-olds from around the world.

The top 15, who were chosen from a record 7,351 entries to the competition, attended a prize ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall in London along with 85 commended young poets.

  1. Oh Tabatha, the poems are breath-taking! They make we want to rush into our classrooms to share with our older students, to show them what is possible. Sometimes sharing published poets is daunting for young writers, but these, from students themselves-wow. Thank you so much for sharing. I'll send them on to my colleagues. I tried to choose a favorite, but each was its own wonder of uniqueness that I kept saying 'this one, no, this one'. So I stopped, & just enjoyed them all again.
