Three videos for this Music Monday, with no particular connection other than I fancy them. The first is not really a music video -- it's an interactive imagining of the flow of Van Gogh's Starry Night. But the music in it is important, I think. What's your take on it?
Starry Night (interactive animation) from Petros Vrellis on Vimeo.
Hudson - Against The Grain from Dropbear on Vimeo.
The Violin Maker from Dustin Cohen on Vimeo.
Who hears music feels his solitude peopled at once.
~ Robert Browning
Three definitely different videos...but all very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to imagine what Vincent would think about the Starry Night piece and I have no idea...maybe that's because *he* might have no idea himself. And it would also depend on where he was in his life when he saw it. The accompanying music is perfect for the movement of the painting.
The Against the Grain piece was fun to watch and to see where the movement would go according to the song. (Which came first: the video or the song?) And I love the little blue pencil. :-)
Fascinating to listen to the Violin Maker. Would love to see a video of the making of a violin!
I was entranced by the Starry Night video!! Absolutely mesmerizing. And I agree, the music was perfect and did enhance the effect of the animation. Just lovely!
