Another spinner of strange and gauzy threads

Vega has not learned to read musical notes; she sees the melody as a shape and chords as colors.

What a contrast!

Suzanne Vega's song was pure poetry, beautifully sung.

What can I say about the Buddhist Priest's Yellow Submarine? It was mesmerizing. And I couldn't help wondering why he decided to do that song. Also, I wondered about that "instrument" that he played. It was obviously a drum-like thingy that looked like a clam, with an opening that faced a microphone. Then he was totally silent for a full two minutes after he was done singing. Fascinating!
